Clean Young Adult Books Really Do Exist: Our Ultimate List of Clean YA

Looking for clean YA books?

Yeah. Always. We are too.

It’s getting hard but we’re always looking for fabulous stories with characters who experience real teenage issues without feeing like we just interrupted a rather private moment or waded through pages of the more explicit offerings of the English language..

Our definition of clean young adult books:

*No swears or very sparse swearing, scattered at worst

*No sex. But making out? Very, very likely.

*Real teenage issues? Mm-hmm.

Mention of uncomfortable subjects? Yes, of course. After all, friends, this is the young adult world. What would be young adult about it if it weren’t just a bit uncomfortable?! (Insert your memories of young adult discomfort here.)

This list is far from complete. We keep reading and as we read, we find new, shiny books to feature. We’ll keep you posted.

But for now…we’d like to introduce:
